Nickname and Region Nebraska has a very funny nickname. Its nickname is the Beef State. The region is the Midwest.

The Capital City is Lincoln. There are three major cities. Here are there names. Norfolk Ferment and Grand Island. Every state has a population. Nebraska’s population is 1,842,641.

 The state bird is called the Western Meadowlark. The state tree is called the cottonwood.

The Government Nebraska’s current governor is Dave Heinemann Nebraska’s current senators are Ben Nelson and Mike Johnsons

 Nebraska has 6 borders. South Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri and Iowa. They have the chimney rock, deserts and sand hills. BORDERS AND GEOGRAPHY

  Later improvements in irrigation made it easier for farmers to water their crops. Farms were able to expand into new areas of Nebraska that before wouldn’t sustain crops. Agriculture/Farming
