Tu Bishvat in Omaha Mrs. Diana Zeman& Hamorah Naama Arzi ט"ו בשבט באומהה- נברסקה הגברת דיאנה זימן והמורה נעמה ארצי

לכבוד טו בשבט,למדו ילדי "גן אילת", על ההבדלים בין החורף בישראל לבין החורף בנברסקה. הקיר בכניסה לכיתת הגן חולק לשנים, בצד המזרחי – החורף בישראל ובצד המערבי שלו החורף בנברסקה - בכל צד נתלו תמונות המראות לילדים את החורף הגשום והפירחוני בישראל ואת החורף המושלג וללא כל פרחים בנברסקה בצד החורפי והפירחוני של ישראל נתלה נרקיס גדול, והילדים הישובים לידו שמעו את הסיפור "הנרקיס מלך הביצה" מאת לוין קיפניס כשלידו תמונות של רקפת ת סביון וכלנית לסיכום הילדים צפו בסיפור המוקרא בתוכנית פרפר נחמד וגם הכינו כתר נרקיס שעליו הדביקו תמונות של הדמויות מהסיפור For English

In Honor of Tu-Bishvat, the students of“Eilat Kindergarten class”, learned of the differences of the Winter in Israel and In Nebraska. The hallway wall, next to the K classroom entrance was divided to 2 sides, the eastern side was decorated with pictures of the Israeli green’ filled the flowers, and with a Huge Daffodil and the western side of it presented to the students pictures of the Nebraskan white winter. The students heard the famous and loved story by Levin Kipnis “The Daffodil, king of the Swamp”. The students watched the Israeli educational TV episode of “ParparNechmad” which included this story. The students created a daffodil crown, glued all the characters from the stories, and wear it with pride, modeling to the camera.

ילדי הגן למדו שהשקדיה מבשרת את האביב כיון שעץ השקד הוא הראשון לפרוח בארץ ישראל הילדים הכינו עץ שקד על גבי בריסטול עם צילום של עץ, הדביקו הילדים חתיכות קטנות של נייר טואלט לבן,(לפני ההדבקה מעכו התלמידים את החתיכות הקטנות)והדביקו עם דבק פלסטי בצורה מפוזרת על הענפים. לאחר מכן עם מרקר ורוד, ניקדו הילדים את "פרחי הקלינקס" ולבסוף, הוסיפו שקדים כמסגרת לתמונה (תוך כדי הדבקה – טעמו הילדים את השקדים.....) The students learned the Almond Tree is the first tree to bloom in Israel during the time of Tu-B’shavat. The students made an Almond Tree. Each student received a picture of naked tree on a cardstock, each student ripped a while “clinecks” to a small pieces, crumbled it and then glued it sporadically on the branches. Then the students used a pink marker to add some pink color to the “clinecks flowers” and in conclusion, as they are eating almonds, the glued almonds as a frame for the picture. It was a Yummy and fun Project!

במהלך חודש שבט "תיקון עולם" היה נושא הלימוד של כל בית הספר. בנושא המיחזור, בבית ובכיתה, ושמירת הנקיון בטבע, ילדי גן אילת התמקדו ובהשראת אחת המצגות שקבלנו הילדים מיחזרו חולצות ישנות והפכו אותן לתיק וכמובן כתבו עליהם את שמם בעברית על ה"חולצתיק" החדש והאופנתי. הילדים היו מאד גאים ב"חולצתיק" שלהם וחלקם תיכננו כיצד הוא יהפוך להיות הילקוט היומיומי שלהם או לפחות תיק למגבת ולבגד הים (תודה למכיני המצגת בנושא – היה פשוט כיף וחיובי) During the months of Sh’vat the topic of “Fixing the World\Tikkun Olam” was learned at all the grade levels. The K students of “Gan Eilat” focused on recycling at home, in the class and how we can help in keeping nature clean. Aspired by the one of the documentation we received, the “Gan Eilat” students recycled an old adult t-shirt, wrote their Hebrew name on it and was so eager to replace their Own back- pack with the new “ChulztaTik” they created. (Thank you for the inspiration for this project, it was lovely and positive and very doable for this age.)

ביום חמישי בו חל ט"ו בשבט, למדו הילדים את השיר "ארץ חיטה ושעורה" טעמו מכל פרי המוזכר בשיר, ולמדו כיצד להחליט, על מי מבין הפירות צריך לברך ולטעום ראשון. היה טעים טעים !!!! On Tu’Bshvat Day, the students learned the famous song (which is a quote from Deuteronomy 8:8) “A land of wheat, and barley, and vines, and fig trees, and pomegranates; a land of oil olive, and honey”, The students tasted every fruit mentioned in the song, and learned how to decide, which of the mentioned fruit needs to say the blessing and be eaten first. It was Yummy Yummy and Sweet !
