End-of-Course (EOC) Tests End-of-Course (EOC) testing is a recommendation of the High School Redesign Commission and is an increasingly common practice in many other states. End-of-Course tests help ensure consistent and rigorous instruction and expectations throughout the state. EOC tests are gradually replacing 9 th grade iLEAP, 10 th grade GEE, and 11 th grade GEE.

9 i LEAP and GEE Phase Out In , 9 th grade iLEAP will be discontinued. In , 10 th grade GEE will be discontinued (except for retesters). In , 11 th grade GEE will be discontinued (except for retesters).

11 EOCs in High School Accountability In , the Baseline SPS for high school accountability will be based on iLEAP and GEE ( and LAA 1 & LAA 2 ). In order to have an “apples to apples” comparison in , a “transition” baseline SPS consisting of EOCs will be created. The Growth SPS, used for Growth Labels, will include the same EOC subjects as the “transition” baseline.

Curriculum and Instruction Policies For incoming freshmen in and beyond, students must meet the assessment requirements below to earn a standard diploma. a.Students must pass three End-of-Course Tests in the following categories: –i.English II or English III; –ii.Algebra I or Geometry; –iii.Biology or American History 15

Preparing Computers for Testing Make sure the secure browser is downloaded to lab/classroom computers – This is the same version of the browser that was used last May (version for windows and for Macs) Run the compatibility script on lab/classroom computers – Checks to ensure java scripting is enabled – Checks for the Flash Player and the SVG Viewer 30
