SEESIM 12 is a Computer Assisted Simulation Exercise conducted within the framework of the Southeastern Europe Defence Ministerial (SEDM) process SEDM Ministers agreed in October 2000 to create SEESIM and begin with an exercise based on a civil emergency scenario Purpose of SEESIM is to promote cooperation, coordination and interoperability of civilian and military organizations during crisis response operations within and among the SEDM nations

SEESIM 12 UNCLASSIFIED 4 SEESIM 02: Hosted by Greece. Broad Scenario of floods and earthquakes. SEESIM 04: Hosted by Turkey. Broad Scenario of multiple terrorist attacks. SEESIM 06: Co-Hosted by Romania and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia*. Broad Scenario of large-scale flooding and earthquakes plus potential terrorist threats to SEDM nations. Two main Exercise Control Groups (EXCONs) in Bucharest and Skopje. SEESIM 08: Hosted by Bulgaria. Broad scenario of natural and man made disasters. SEESIM 10: Hosted by Albania.
