Auxiliary Member History  2002 Study reviewed Auxiliary Members’ needs  2004 BoD approved creation of AMAC  2011 BoD authorized Auxiliary Member study relative to bylaws change  2012 Referendum to allow Auxiliary Members full voting privileges on August ballot

Auxiliary Members Value Added  Auxiliary Member votes – potential 17% increase in votes on national- level issues  In our Chapter System: 750 Auxiliary Members hold leadership positions as chapter officers or board members

Auxiliary Members Value Added  Fill vacant leadership positions  Manage and organize events, fundraisers, and special projects  Advocate and educate on MOAA legislative issues (local, state, and national level)  PR and Community Outreach to increase MOAA and Chapter visibility  All councils and chapters encouraged to recruit an Auxiliary Liaison (Auxiliary Member or Spouse)

Auxiliary Liaisons Cell Phones For Soldiers  Goal: 1 Million minutes free talk time for deployed troops (16,667 phones)  Result: 1,761,480 minutes free talk time (29,358 phones)  76% over goal  85 Chapters participated with 77% of the projects led by an Auxiliary Liaison.  Auxiliary Liaisons led the project in 11 of the top 15 chapters.
