Habitat Every continent in the southern hemisphere.

Appearance  Mostly white with black heads and grayish backs. Their color helps keep them safe in the water.

Food  Penguins eat squid, fish, krill.  They catch their food under water.

Young  Penguins could have two babies at a time but mostly one.  They are born in spring and summer.  Both mom and dad take care of the baby.

Threats  A penguin has a bunch of threats such as climate change, sharks, leopard seals and sea lions.

Facts  Bigger kinds of penguins live in colder places.  Babies hatch in 1 month to 66 days  Penguins love to slide but they only slide on their tummys.
