C WILLIAM PENN By: Nike Onanuga

William Penn’s Childhood William Penn was a good and hard-working child. He grew up with his sister Marget and brother Richard. He was very focused and successful. His father was very proud when young William was applied to Oxford University. This is Oxford University, where William went to college.

Penn Meets the Quakers Penn’s family was very excited when they heard that he would be attending one of the best colleges in the country. By the time he arrived it was already an old, old school. One night while William was studying he met a man named Thomas Loe Loe said all men are equal and that sounded accurate to him. he also believed that no one should take off their hat or bow to anyone because no one is better than the others. These people are called Quakers and Thomas believed very strongly in them. William’s father was upset with him for worshipping somewhere else than the church of England. In result his father sent him off to France.

Penn is a Real Quaker William wore the fine clothes he had purchased in France when he came back to London. After he arrived his father Went off to war. Next, a horrific disease swept over the entire City. This plague killed over a hundred people because they weren’t enough doctors and nurses to care for them. He remembered that all men are created equally so he decided to hold a nursing home in their house.

How Quakers Came To Pa William was finally freed from prison. After his father died king Charles the 3 rd he owed them a large amount of money. But, the King could not pay debt. Instead, he gave William some land in America. Some of the Quakers followed! He then found out the Indians. He respected their land and didn’t drag them out. They gave him nice meaningful gifts. He was surprised when he saw the beautiful home the Quakers have built him. Later, he returned to England and died

Conclusion As you can see, William Penn was a very determined, hard working, selfless person But his sons were different….
