Did you know how the American Revolution started? The war didn’t start because of one act there were many acts that upset the colonist.

The British created the stamp act which upset the colonist. The Stamp Act was a tax that the king put on paper, glass, lead,and tea. The colonist thought it was unfair because they did not get to vote for that law.

The British created the Tea act, another act that lead to the Revolutionary War The Tea Act was a tax on tea, paper, glass and lead. The colonist thought it was unfair to put the tax on them.

The Proclamation of 1763, upset the colonist. The king drew a line on the map and told the colonist not to cross. The line kept the colonist from crossing the Appalachian Mountains.

The Townshend acts was all about when the British put a tax on stuff like, tea and other sort of stuff. The colonist were Very upset because of this tax because they thought it was very unfair. The colonist thought it was unfair because they didn’t get to vote for it.

The Intolerable Act was when there were laws that tried to punish the colonist. This upset the colonist because they didn’t like being punished. They were being punished because they were refusing to pay the tax on tea.

The Boston Massacre- was when the colonist were upset about all the taxes. The British shot 5 colonist who were disagreeing with the British. The colonist blamed the British for shooting them because they wanted the British (RED COATS) to leave.

The colonist dressed up as Native Americans and they dumped the tea. The colonist were upset because they didn’t get to vote for that law. They dumped the tea in the ocean because they didn’t want to pay the taxes, on tea.
