Monitor your records Public Junior High School students- verify to make sure your transcript reflects all Regents taken in middle school Private Junior High School Students- make your counselor aware of any accelerated classes taken in middle school
Yearly Requirements Minimum of 5 majors English, Social Studies, Lab Science, Math, Foreign Language Every student will take at least one AP course before graduation Physical Education every term Must pass all requirements each term No make ups in summer school
Advanced Regents With Honors Diploma Why is this valuable? Requires 90 + average on 9 required Regents exams Comprehensive English 3 mathematics 2 sciences (one physical science/one life science) US History & Government Global History & Geography Foreign language Mastery in Mathematics & Science: Receive an 85 + on 3 Regents in Math/Science or Both
Bronx Science Diploma Pass 10 Regents English Global & US History Algebra, Geometry, & Algebra II / Trig Biology, Chemistry, & Physics (Students in 9 th grade who are taking Chemistry, must take a Biology Lab Science) Foreign Language Take and pass at least one AP course
PSATs What is the PSAT? Why do you take it? Practice for SAT Identify strengths Identify areas for improvement Can factor in course selection
