What is Parent Advocacy Training (P.A.T.)? A free, online course that gives families the tools to successfully advocate for their child and insure his or her educational needs are met. Available in English and Spanish Face-to-face facilitated discussion groups available.

P.A.T.’s content Legal framework of special education law in the U.S. Negotiating strategies for families and school districts. Demonstrations of effective negotiating strategies. Intended audience includes families, IEP teams, clinical support professionals. Addresses ages 3 – 21 (Part B)

Part C and Early Intervention Summarized content with links to local resources. Soon available in Spanish

P.A.T.’s History with AG Bell Developed in late 1990’s by parents and legal experts to empower families. Team of facilitators for live presentations. Delivered at conferences, workshops and conventions in U.S.. Updated with support from the Oticon Foundation so families have free access, 24/7.
