If you were poor you would live in a dugout or whatever you could get. If you were middle class you would live in a 1 or 2 room house and sometimes an attic. If you were rich and you lived in the south you would have a large plantation, and slaves.

People ate a lot of corn. If you lived by the sea you ate lobsters and clams. If you lived more inland you would eat rabbits, squirrels, bears, deer, fruit and vegetables.
