Rules/Discipline Cont. n Stop, Think, Plan –The student will stop what they are doing, think what is right and make a plan on what to do next. –The student will go through that process and then discuss it and write it down with the teacher.

Attendance n Please call the office and the teacher when your child is absent. n Send a note for the reason absent and a doctor note when your child returns to school. n Attendance is taken everyday at 10:00. –Students are counted present if they are in the class room at 10:00. –If student arrives after 8:00, they need to get a tardy slip from the office.

Transportation n If your child’s transportation changes please call the office and teacher before 2:00 or write a note. n Bus tags: –Need to stay on student’s backpack n Car riders: –Vehicles need to be turned off –If student needs help buckling tell the person helping them in. n ESE: –Students will be picked up in Cafeteria or sometimes the gym.

Eagle Folders/Daily Folders/Homework  GISD Folders go home every Thursday and need to be returned Friday. –A zip lock bag is stapled inside the folder for Friday’s ice cream money (35 cents- exact change).  Daily Folders will go home every day and need to be returned the next day.  Homework Spirals will be checked daily.

Field trips/Volunteering n To participate on field trips, recess, or volunteering for different events at school, background checks will need to be updated every August. n You will need to check in at the office and get a volunteer sticker. n If participating on field trips, you will need to provide your own transportation.

Party invitations n Invitations may be brought for the entire class. Individual invitations will first need to send a note to that student’s parent for additional contact information. n If you want to bring cookies or cupcakes to school for your child’s birthday, the best time would be around 2:30. Please call, write a note or ahead of time.

Parent Support n Be involved as much as you can!! n Classroom _ Thursday folders, book chapters, boards. _ Thursday folders, book chapters, boards. n PTA: –Always needing volunteers to help out with fundraisers, selling ice cream etc. n Watch Dog: –A great way for dads to be involved. n RAH: –Reading At Home
