Presentation transcript:

“We Love Being Happy” provides a platform for the world to participate in active knowledge transfer and peer inspiration. There will also be opportunities for active involvement by the community via activities conducted on Social Media Platforms and in Real Life. We Love Being Happy will ultimately serve as a resource site, a meeting point and an endearing symbol of our collective desire to be happy, lead happy lives and constantly work towards making the world a better place by inspiring other people to do the same. Challenge Future: “We Love Being Happy” combines our determination to have fun by being happy. We aim to make this world a happier place for everyone by sharing our Love for Being Happy with the rest of the world in the form of knowledge, stories and tips we have gathered from People all over the world who like us; Love Being Happy.

We Love Being Happy Tree From our interviews with people from all walks of life, many have indicated that they find inspiration through the course of interacting with other like minded people. Every post will contribute to the tree’s growth and at each milestone, the tree will ‘bear fruit’ and reward contributors with incentives from like-minded retailers who support the We Love Being Happy movement. The “We Love Being Happy Tree” will enable people to share their tales of inspiration online with other people. This allows happy people to support each other to stay motivated and serve as a source of inspiration for people who are not so happy and looking for that bright spark in their lives.

How to be happy and how to share? An online resource for people to share inspirational stories about how they are helping others. People can learn about what’s being done and perhaps become interested. Important to start from home and then help those who are less fortunate Tzyy Horng – Overcame sudden passing of his elder Sister in 2005, initiates his own fundraising efforts and initiatives to help those in need. Social Media is a good way to broadcast your thoughts on life and see who responds and continues the conversation. It helps to have an alternative opinion and source of motivation when one feels down. Mark Ho- Student in Singapore who likes meaningful conversations and uses the small things in life to remain positive Use Social Media to get people to share their happy moments. It does not take a lot to be happy! Spreading happiness can be as simple as doing simple things to help other people. i.e. helping a couple on holiday take a photo Shirley, Cancer Survivor & Avid Volunteer Janet, Marcom Manager Singapore Cancer Society Wenjie, 29, Works at Ministry of Health, Singapore It is important to get people to think about what they want and what makes them happy. A website should get them started on thinking what their priorities in life are.

We would like to interview… Dr. Shelley Sykes Dr. Shelley Sykes is dubbed by Edward De Bono as the ‘Happiness Guru’ and is the founder of Global Happiness Day What we would like to ask Dr. Shelley Sykes What do you think is the best way to influence the most number of people in the fastest possible way to be happy? Do you think it is possible for people to be as happy and motivated as you? Do you think more emphasis should be placed on promoting happiness? What is the main reason why a lot of people claim to be unhappy?

Vision for the Future… In the future (by 2030), the world will be a happier place because people from all over the world will have a better understanding of what happiness means and what it takes to lead happier, fuller lives. The world will be a more understanding place because at our very core, we are satisfied, our desires and actions are aligned and we become more enlightened about how we should manage our own emotions and deal with negative emotions through the awareness generated from the constant conversation, knowledge sharing and visual reminder cues all around us.
