Area and Circumference of a Circle Formula to find the area of a circle:The formula to find the circumference of the circle: Area is the space inside of an object. Circumference is the perimeter (length outside) of a circle. Try finding the area and circumference of several circles with your team. Be sure to pay close attention to whether you are given the radius or diameter of the circle.

Volume of a Cylinder  You find the volume of a cylinder by using the same exact formula V = B×h  But wait!... What is the BASE of a cylinder? The two circles.  What is the HEIGHT of a cylinder? The distance between the two circles.
