In Spanish, you use the verb “ser” to describe people. Which form of “ser” you use depends on who you are describing. Soy inteligente. = I am intelligent. Ella es inteligente. = She is intelligent.

Don’t forget to use words that end with O to describe males, and words that end with A to describe females. María es atlética. Mario es atlético. Francisca es positiva. Francisco es positivo.
