Coping with earthquakes and eruptions. This lesson, we’ll learn how to cope with earthquakes are eruptions – and why some countries find it harder than others.

When earthquakes and eruptions destroy places, we respond in two ways.

San Francisco, California, USA, is very prone to earthquakes. They have had many major ones in their history. Watch this clip and draw a spider map to help explain what they do to prepare themselves and why they might be better prepared than other (poorer) countries around the world.clip What does San Francisco do to prepare for earthquakes and why are they better prepared than other (poorer) countries around the world?
