WHAT HAVE WE LEARNED ABOUT THE CASTLE? The castle Starý Jičín are majestic ruins. It is placed on the Starojický hill (486m.) above the town Starý Jičín. The cestle was protecting the Amber path in Moravská brána since the half of the 13th century. It was a trade path that led from the south of Poland. We were watching the area of Moravská brána while traveling to the castle by bus. Did we want to be protectors of the castle, traders or bandits?
