Cooperation status in terms of projects Contribution of FP7 and ENPI European Neighbourhood Partnership Instrument (ENPI) The Framework Programme for Research (FP7) ( ) ● As a result of the long-standing scientific collaboration between the European Union and the Mediterranean Partner Countries, 168 FP7 projects are presently in place with an EU contribution close to EUR 430 million. There have been more than 373 MPC participants in these projects. Our research teams from both sides of the Mediterranean collaborate actively in all thematic priority areas from agriculture to space and security. Alongside collaborative research these projects focus also on networking, competence building, infrastructure and mobility. ● Structuring activities (25.5 M€): –Support to bilateral activities 4 M€ –Support to regional platforms (MIRA/MedSPRING) 8 M€ –Building competence in research labs (ERA-WIDEs)13,5 M€ European Neighbourhood Partnership Instrument (ENPI) : 75,35M€ ● The ENPI supports research capacity building through the implementation of Research Development and Innovation Programme (RDI) in Jordan (5 + 5 M€), Egypt (11M€ + 20 M€), Tunisia (12 M€), Morocco (1.35 M€) and Algeria (21 M€).
