Task for Today Today we want to understand: –What social and cultural life was like in Nazi Germany. –The shape of panoptic control in Nazi Germany. –How Nazi Germany was similar to and different from other totalitarian regimes studied. We will achieve this through two tasks: –Task One: Evaluate/Analyze (30 minutes) Break up into small groups and read a source on Nazi Germany in light of a specific theme Take notes on your observations and discussions on the chart –Task Two: Analyze/Synthesize (30 minutes) Re-Form into new small groups to… –Discuss the following question: How does panopticism operate in Nazi Germany? Your answer must make reference to two themes and must show one similarity and one difference to other totalitarian regimes studied. »In the course of your conversation you should talk about your theme and enlighten your group on what you discovered (take notes on chart!)
