“HAMARA WATAN” Lesson Plan Mrs. Farhat Abid Urdu Class 3 D.A JMS DARAKHSHAN

Topical Background The topic of this lesson is “Hamara Watan”, which means our country ‘Pakistan’. The format of e topic is of ‘Mukalma Naweesi’ or a discussion between a Class teacher and his student (Khawar) The lesson is based on emphasizing to students the importance of their Country ‘Pakistan’. Mainly the lesson is designed to simply pass on knowledge to students about their homeland ‘Pakistan’

Theory This lesson tells about different cultural, geographical, economical and industrial aspects of ‘Pakistan’: There are 4 provinces in Pakistan. Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. In Pakistan there are lots of historical places such as ‘Badshahi Mosque, Fort of Bala-e-Saar, Shalimar Gardens and the city of Moen jo Daro’. Pakistan is an agricultural country, with a wide range of crops such as cotton, rice and sugarcane. Pakistan has a very large rapidly increasing population, with this increase in people, the there is scarcity of food, water and other basic necessities of life.

Effect This Lesson has a very positive effect on the students and gives them an opportunity to learn about different aspects of their country ‘Pakistan’. The Lesson itself is in very basic Urdu, اردو, this way students can easily understand the main points of this topic. The main objective of this Lesson Plan is to enlighten students effectively the importance about their country, while also improving the Urdu Skills of students with respect to the lesson.

Conclusion ‘Hamara Watan’ is a lesson that emphasizes to young students the importance of their country ‘Pakistan’. The lesson has been fabricated with a twist, in a format where a Class Teacher is communicating and passing on knowledge to his student. This makes the whole lesson much more fun and interesting for young students.
