Henry Hudson’s Journey

All About Hudson’s Journey Henry Hudson made his first voyage west from England in 1607, when he was hired to find a shorter, northeast route to Asia from Europe through the Arctic Ocean. After navigating the Atlantic coast, Hudson’s ships sailed up a great river (which would later bear his name) but turned back when they determined it was not the place they needed to be. Hudson did not find a shorter route to Asia from Europe but instead he started a settlement called New Netherland.

Henry Hudson was sponsored by The Dutch East India Company. His goal was for England to find a Northeast water route to Asia. Henry Hudson’s second goal was to find a Northeast passage to China.

rESULT Henry Hudson tried to find a ice free path to Asia after failure twice as a result he gave up. He traveled 150 miles but his result was he did not get to the Pacific. After that 150 miles his results was he found Albany, New York.

 His results was his exploration led to Dutch colonization of the area.  As a result to Hudson’s exploration the river bear’s his name today.  Henry sailed across the world as a result that’s why he’s remembered today.
