BECOMING HIGHLY EFFECTIVE BECOMING FIT physically, mentally, Socially and Spiritually to become An highly effective person

BECOMING FIT It is a principle of balanced SELF- RENEWAL “It is one of THE SEVEN HABITS OF HIGHLY EFFECTIVE PEOPLE” It is termed as a habit “SHARPEN THE SAW” by Mr. STEPHEN COVEY, author of the worldwide famous book “THE SEVEN HABITS OF HIGHLY EFFECTIVE PEOPLE”

What is meant by SHARPENING THE SAW? IT IS PRESERVING AND ENHANCING THE GREATEST ASSET YOU HAVE – YOU. BECOMING FIT

It is renewing four dimensions of your nature – PHYSICAL – SPIRITUAL – MENTAL – SOCIAL / EMOTIONAL This is INVESTMENT IN OURSELVES - the single most powerful investment we can ever make in our life. BECOMING FIT

It involves caring effectively our physical body BY EXERCISING ON REGULAR BASIS EATING RIGHT KIND OF FOODS GETTING SUFFICIENT REST AND RELAXATION BECOMING PHYSICALLY FIT

Renewing the spiritual dimension provides leadership to your life – both personal and official. As we pray / meditate, we will feel renewed, strengthened, centered and recommitted to serve. BECOMING SPIRITUALLY FIT

– Great reformer MARTIN LUTHER said “ I have so much to do today, I will need to spend another hour on my knees ”. – To him, prayer was not a mechanical duty but rather a source of power in releasing and multiplying his energies. BECOMING SPIRITUALLY FIT

– Most of our mental development and study discipline comes through formal education. But as soon as we leave the school/ college, we don’t do any more serious reading, we don’t explore new subjects in any real depth outside our action fields. – Education – Continuing education, continually honing and expanding the mind- is vital mental renewal. BECOMING MENTALLY FIT

It is enhancing our relationship with others – colleagues and customers. This can be done in our normal everyday interactions with people. BECOMING SOCIALLY/EMOTIONALLY FIT

 Organizational as well as individual effectiveness requires  development and renewal of all the four dimensions in a wise and balanced way.  Any dimension that is neglected, will create negative result affecting effectiveness and growth.  Hence, this should be a CONTINOUS PROCESS.

 Let’s START FROM TODAY becoming fit to become a PROJECT ARROW LEADER as well as LEADER IN OUR PERSONAL LIFE by enhancing our  Physical  Spiritual  Mental  Social/ emotional dimensions and LEAD A HAPPY PERSONAL AND OFFICIAL LIFE.
