Arkansas: Effective July 30, 2009, General Assembly eliminated the annual self-audit reporting requirement for regulated tank owners and operators.

California: Statute now defines “UST” to include components that are directly or indirectly connected to the tank above and beneath the ground.

Colorado: Regulations now in place which require operator training and certification effective in 2010, two years ahead of EPA date of 2012.

(Colorado cont): OPS now has authority to prohibit delivery of product to non- compliant facilities. $8 million balance has triggered reduction of surcharge from $100/tanker to $50/tanker.

Florida: Legislative appropriation for cleanup reduced for FY09-10 by approximately $63 million from last year’s initial appropriation. Illinois: Fund is operating on a cash-in, cash- out basis. Backlog of $66 million of approved payments, and it takes 18 months to get paid. General Assembly created a task force to review tank program and funding issues.
