The Fox River Cleanup Project What boaters & anglers should know

The Fox River Cleanup Project is moving forward toward its goal of reducing the levels of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) in the river through a combination of dredging and capping. The Fox River Cleanup Group – Appleton Papers, Georgia- Pacific and NCR Corporation – is providing the leadership and funding necessary to move the project forward. Good for the environment. Good for area residents & families. Good for the economy.

Dredging and/or capping will take place from Little Rapids to the mouth of the river over the next nine years with oversight by the Wisconsin DNR and U.S. EPA. Good for the environment. Good for area residents & families. Good for the economy.

The project should not interfere with boating or fishing on the Fox River. The safety of boaters, anglers and others using the river is a top priority. Good for the environment. Good for area residents & families. Good for the economy.
