assume verb to take for granted synonyms: suppose, presume That looks dangerous! I assume that you know what you are doing.

averse adjective having a strong feeling of opposition synonyms: reluctant, loath Many young children are averse to eating their vegetables.

callous adjective feeling no sympathy for others synonyms: insensitive, hard-hearted Mr. Donka is callous towards students who do not do their homework.

discernible adjective capable of being perceived synonyms: observable, perceptible Which image is discernible to you: an old woman or a young girl?

dubious adjective of uncertain outcome synonyms: doubtful, questionable I am dubious about his chances to jump that canyon on a motorcycle.
