GEM PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT – PROPOSED UPDATES Conditions of Participation in GEM 1. Technical changes to Clause 1.1, Clause 3.4 and Clause Participation requirements: Changes Section 5: Removal of the entitlement to take a 'skip year' - National Teams are required to participate in GEM each year. The intention to participate must be confirmed by 31st March of each year. Clause 5.4: Clarifies that GERA can decide to accept or reject data submitted after the deadlines specified in the Annual Schedule  already in existing Agreement, made clearer Clause 5.5: Clarifies that GERA can decide to terminate the Participation Agreement of a National Team submitting data after the deadlines specified in the Annual Schedule  already in existing Agreement, made clearer

GEM PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT – PROPOSED UPDATES Data Sharing and Public Release Policy 1. Changes to make the policy i) clearer ii) easier to understand iii) in line with current GEM terminology and practices: 'DEFINITIONS' and 'DATA FILES' sections have been added to provide greater clarity on the items discussed in the policy. Data file terminology is in line with that now used by the Data Team 'GENERAL PRINCIPLES' and 'DATA RELEASE SCHEDULE' sections have been created, with existing clauses categorised accordingly. A 'REQUESTING DATA' section has been created. This section sets out the rules and procedural information regarding to requests to access data. The Data Team receives an increasing number of such requests from National Teams, and felt it was necessary to lay out a standard procedure applicable in all cases

AGNT GERA Board Representative Election Withdrawal of Universiti Tun Abdul Razak  size of board is reduced to 6 Therefore: no need for election However, the GERA Board is looking for a new global sponsor Proposed resolution:  Conduct an election now  Successful candidate will take seat on board at such time as global sponsor joins  Valid until next GEM Annual Meeting (January 2015)
