Charlie and the Chocolate Factory By Roald Dahl Reviewed by Sarah

Setting Charlie Bucket’s house is an old rotten house that has spiders and rats in the ceilings and walls. His house is old and a bit broken down.

When Charlie finds the last golden ticket to go to Mr. Willy Wonka’s amazing, marvelous chocolate factory, he is so excited. When he gets to Willy Wonka’s factory he’s astounded, he can not believe what he’s looking at. Setting

Character Traits Charlie Bucket Brave Agreed to go to factory even though it frightened him Ready to see the factory Positive Believes he is going to find a Golden ticket Honest Always tells the truth

Plot Skinny Charlie Bucket and very old Grandpa Joe get ready for a huge, gigantic day. When the chocolate factory opens again (at last) only five kids and parents can go see the enormous, fantastic chocolate factory.

The winners that go see the remarkable chocolate factory are Augustus Gloop, a fat boy who loves to eat, Veruca Salt, a spoiled-rotten little girl, Violet Beauregourde, a gum-chewer with fast jaws around it, Mike Teavee, a toy pistol-toting ganster who loves television and Charlie Bucket, a boy who’s honest, true, brave, kind and ready for the time of his life.

Charlie finds the last golden ticket. Charlie and Grandpa Joe go to the chocolate factory. When the four kids do something they’re not supposed to do they have to leave the wonderful, incredible chocolate factory and Charlie Bucket and Grandpa Joe are the last ones to stay.

You will have fun reading this exciting book. My favorite part was when Violet Beaurgarde turned into a blueberry. I like that part because it was really funny, exiting, and dazzling. You may want to read this book if you like chocolate, love to laugh and want some excitement.
