Why A Trades Centre? $7.6 Million Major trades shortages The B.C. Government is seeking a 50 % increase in the number of students going directly into trades and technical training after graduation from 4,000 to 6,000 over the next three years ( ,875 grade 12s) Improve graduation completion rates Up to 600,000 trades shortages by 2020 in Canada

BC School Sports Students who attend an educational program that is not offered in their own school may continue to play on their home-school sports team. This only applies to the Trades and Technology education programs at NorKam.

One Semester Bring a friend! Most programs = one semester Students attend for 5 months then return to their home school to graduate!

Transportation No transportation for specialty programs in SD 73 Families are responsible for transportation to NorKam for the semester Kamloops city bus pass costs $100 for 4 months
