Polling question How did you get here today?

Polling question Are you here today as a member of NHS staff or a member of the public?

Polling question Overall how satisfied are you with health services nationally?

Polling question Overall how satisfied are you with health services in your area?

Polling question To what extent do you support a tax-funded NHS that is free at the point of need continuing in the 21st Century?

Polling question To what extent do you think the following need improving? - Getting an appointment with a GP when you need one

Polling question To what extent do you think the following need improving? - Waiting times for hospital treatment

Polling question To what extent do you think the following need improving? - Getting the most effective treatment and drugs

Polling question To what extent do you think the following need improving? - Providing clean facilities

Polling question To what extent do you think the following need improving? - Being treated with dignity and respect

Polling question To what extent do you think the following need improving? - Having enough time with medical staff

Polling question To what extent do you think the following need improving? - Getting information about the services available

Polling question Which one is the most important? Pick one only

SECTION 2 – 1.45 – 1.50

Polling question It is Friday evening. You have a persistent cough and have been feeling generally unwell for the last couple of days. It is getting worse and you think you might have a chest infection.

Polling question Would you?

Polling question Thinking about your last visit to the GP, how easy was it to make an appointment at a time that suited you?

Polling question If you need repeat prescriptions, how easy is it to get a repeat prescription?

Polling question Which of the following do you think is the most important for the NHS to tackle?

SECTION 3 – 3.40 – 3.55

Polling question Did you discuss the theme of ‘access’ at your table?

Polling question If GPs’ opening hours were to change, what would you change, if anything? (pick as many as you want)

Polling question If GPs’ opening hours increased, then you might have to see a different GP to your usual one. Would you still be happy for hours to increase?

Polling question If they want to everyone has the right to change GPs within the area that they live. If you knew that another GP practice in your area was offering increased opening hours would you change and register with that practice?

Polling question How far do you support allowing people to register with more than one GP (for example, one near where you live and one near where you work)?

Polling question For a minor condition, would you be happy to see a pharmacist rather than a GP?

Polling question In future some GP practices might be able to offer you additional services, such as X-ray, minor surgery, pharmacy or dentist services. This would mean that you could go to the same location for a number of different services and so make fewer journeys.

Polling question If a GP surgery was able to offer you other services, would you be prepared for it to take longer to get there than it does to your current GP?

Polling question If you knew that a GP practice in your area was offering more services (such as X-ray, minor surgery or dentist services) would you change and register with another practice?

Polling question Did you discuss the theme of ‘quality’ at your table?

Polling question How important is it for the NHS to provide the following information in order to help people make choices about which hospitals to go to? - Waiting times (inpatient and outpatient)

Polling question How important is it for the NHS to provide the following information in order to help people make choices about which hospitals to go to? - Outcomes / success rates for specific treatments

Polling question How important is it for the NHS to provide the following information in order to help people make choices about which hospitals to go to? - Infection rates

Polling question Which of the following would give you the most confidence about hospitals reducing the spread of infections? (Rank your first choice 1, second 2, etc) (Results shown as percentage of the total weighted score)

Polling question In future some services could move away from hospitals to a location closer to home e.g. dermatology (skin conditions), ENT (ear, nose and throat), general surgery, orthopaedics (muscles and bones), urology (urinary and men’s reproduction) and gynaecology (women’s reproduction). This could allow hospitals to focus on providing more specialist services but it also could mean that other hospitals become smaller, merge with others or even close.

Polling question Would you support this?

Polling question Did you discuss the theme of ‘health and well-being’ at your table?

Polling question How far do you agree or disagree with the following? - The NHS should focus more on preventing people becoming ill than on further reducing waiting times

Polling question Who do you think should have responsibility for tackling smoking, obesity and binge drinking? (you can choose more than one)

Polling question Should the Government introduce more measures to tackle obesity and binge drinking in the same way as it has done for smoking?

Polling question If patients have been given a choice on the time and date of their GP or specialist appointment and they miss it without cancelling first, should action be taken (for example, go to the bottom of the waiting list)?
