Characterisation: Give a better sense of character by describing how they feel or their past Setting the scene: Describe time and place to give a sense of scene – use the five senses to describe Crisis: This builds up the suspense in a story…when things get to boiling point! Problem: This is when a challenge or problem happens which makes things difficult for the main character. Development: This is when you develop a part of a plot which gets the story going.
