THE EVERGLADES BY RYNE V. & TENNIE T.

The Everglades The everglades are an open field covered with saw grass, trees, rivers, & wild life. The Everglades is a special place to a lot people and is a great tour spot. I suggest that if you want to take a family vacation you should go here and take a lot of film!

Everglades Wildlife The Everglades wildlife is the most treasured part of the everglades. It is what attracts most tourist. They are know to have some of the most rarest and endangered birds.

The KOE Water System The KOE water system means Kissimmee Okeechobee River and Everglades. The KOE water system starts as evaporation and then does condensation. Then the clouds goes to the Kissimmee River and then precipitates. After that the water flows threw the Kissimmee River and in to the Lake Okeechobee. Then it flows threw the Everglades and into the Key West where the high winds are and evaporates all over again.

Natural Habitats Saw grass and trees are the natural habitats of many animals in the everglades. Saw grass is the home of many alligators, bugs, & prey. Trees are homes to most alligators, birds, & some panthers. Saw grass is the way most animals can hide from & hunt their prey.

Pa-i-ka-o The Indians called the Everglades Pa-i-ka-o. This means big river and meadow. The Everglades are an open field and a river.

Map of the Everglades!! This is a map of the Everglades. This map shows you where the Everglades is located. The Everglades is 50 miles wide & is located south of Florida.
