What’s happening to Bella? ??????

On Monday, Sam took Bella his dog for a nice long walk. Bella loves to run during her walks, but today, Bella was SOOOOOO slow and lazy! Come on Bella!

Sam saw Bella’s tummy and thought, “Boy Bella is getting fat! I better give her some more exercise.”

Sam threw the ball left, but Bella would not fetch it!

Sam threw the ball right, but still Bella would not move!!

He threw it high and he rolled it low - But STILL Bella would not move! In fact she just napped under a tree! Sam thought, “Oh no, what is wrong with Bella?

When Bella got home, she dashed for the front door! Sam could not even keep up with her. When Bella got home, she dashed for the front door! Sam could not even keep up with her.

When Sam finally caught up with her inside the kitchen. When Sam finally caught up with her inside the kitchen. Bella was eating her food like a vacuum cleaner!!

Bella’s tummy was so full and she felt very tired!! She decided to have a nice long nap! Zzz zz zz

Everyday Bella’s tummy just got bigger

And BIGGER

And BIGGER!!!

Bella ate lots of food. And guess what? She got EVEN bigger!!! Bella ate lots of food. And guess what? She got EVEN bigger!!!

Until one day………. Sam walked into the kitchen and found Bella. Until one day………. Sam walked into the kitchen and found Bella. Bella’s belly had 4 puppies inside! PUPPIES!!!

It all started to make sense to Sam! Bella wasn’t fat, Bella was pregnant!

Sam had allot of work ahead of him. He didn’t just have 1 dog, he now had 5!!!

That meant, walking them.

Taking them to the vet.

Feeding them.

And the awful job of picking up their pooh! Thank goodness Sam didn’t have an elephant for a pet.

Even though Sam works hard to look after his new puppies, he l ll loves them very much!

After listening carefully to the story, can you boys and girls answer some questions?
