It is important to have a variety of different kinds of animals living in the bay? The ospreys help to, keep the bay have a food chain because it eats fish and other birds like eagles, hawks, and falcons eat the ospreys. The oyster drill help the bay by having a food chain for many other animals. The barnacles help the bay by making a small food chain of it’s own for other animals. My research will show that ospreys, oyster drills, and barnacles are important to the bay.

Ospreys Ospreys are the Bay’s fishing bird because it only eats fish. The osprey have long “Talons” that are the osprey’s toe nails. Ospreys get targeted by other birds from eagles, hawk, and falcons. When ospreys have eggs they make a nest on a tall areas near the Bay so it will be easier for the ospreys to get fish quicker. At last osprey’s babies will get hunted by raccons, snakes, and sand eagles will prey on the baby ospreys.

Oyster Drills The oyster drills help the bay by have a part of the food chain. The oyster drills when they hunt, they drill threw their prey but it takes about 6 hours ton the center on all the meat inside other shelled animals. The oyster drills compare to others is smaller then other shelled animals. When oyster drills travel the bay they have a one yellow foot to move around the bay. The oyster drills eats other shelled animals like crabs, lobsters, clams, and snails.

Barnacles Barnacles help the bay by having a big part of it’s own food chain. Barnacles are a kind of animals called arthropods. The oyster flat worm is the are the barnacle greatest predator to the barnacles and it’s part to many other food chains. Barnacles are like crabs and lobsters because they also have a outside skeleton like the crabs.

Conclusion In Conclusion I learned that there are many kinds of animals they live in the Bay and near the Bay like the ospreys and barnacles. They are even more kinds of animals like blue crabs, clams, and many more to choose to research and see in the bay. So I learned many more animals from the bay then just crabs, shrimps, and clams.
