Robo-Retriever Pawel Cieslewski EEL IMDL Dr. A. Antonio Arroyo Dr. Eric M. Schwartz

Purpose Robo-Retriever is a robot that acts like a dog. Purpose is to play fetch with tennis balls. Will return the ball to the person who threw it.

So Far I have decided to use a Raspberry Pi / Arduino combo. I will be using Raspberry Pi camera module along with OpenCV.

Challenges The claw used to clamp the ball will be modeled and printed on the T-Tech. I will be using openCV not only for detecting faces, but also trying to recognize and remember them.

Conclusion Simple but not too simple idea. I will learn a lot in terms of mechanical design and image processing.
