Some of the Olympic designs

A boxers story Women weren’t allowed to compete in the Ancient Greek Olympics and were severely punished if they were even caught watching the Olympics. Here is a story from the ancient Greek Olympics: A girl named Kallipatira was the daughter of a famous boxer but one day she was caught watching the Olympics. She was nearly beaten but luckily, seeing as she was the daughter of a famous boxer they didn’t beat her up in case they got beaten up!

Ancient Greek Olympics Allegedly the Ancient Greek Olympics started in 750 B.C. when Homer was around but really they started way before that. They did many events for example: B B B Boxing, wrestling, racing, javelin and discus. The winners were presented with an olive wreath, palm branches and woollen ribbons. Discus: Athletes threw a heavy disk and tried to get it further than the other athletes. Javelin: Athletes threw a long wooden pole about the same length as fully grown man from a fixed point. The aim was to go as far as you could. Boxing was like normal boxing except that there was no classes like middle weight, heavy light weight and heavy weight

The End I hope you have learnt something about the Ancient Greek and modern Olympics. Thank you for watching.
