A Poem about the Sea

By Justin Axiak

Some seas are lively Some seas are dead

Some are breathtaking And some full of dread

The vastness of the ocean is So big and never-ending

More things to be discovered Are constantly pending

In the great shallows of the coral reefs Shoals of fish look for their need

Searching…and searching For something on which to feed

In the depths of the sea It’s a whole different story

Some facts of the deep are rarely believed

So strange…so improbable

And still are left things which you have not yet perceived
