8 Beatitudes Background In Matthew & Luke Part of the Sermon on the Mount Beatitude means “Blessedness” Positive counterpoint to the negative Ten Commandments Jesus calls these traits “Blessed” because those who have them are able to stay focused on the eternal reward of Heaven instead of the temporary rewards of this world. Have you ever seen something good come out of something bad?

8 Beatitudes Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are the meek: for they shall possess the land. Blessed are they who mourn: for they shall be comforted. Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after justice: for they shall have their fill.

Blessed are they that hunger & thirst after justice Blessed are they that hunger & thirst after justice: for they shall have their fill. They know when something is unfair & always stand up against injustice, no matter what the cost

8 Beatitudes Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the clean of heart: for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Blessed are they that suffer persecution for justice' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are they that suffer persecution Blessed are they that suffer persecution for justice' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Those who suffer because they care for others Help the needy Admonish sinners

Now that we have discussed the 8 Beatitudes You will be creating 8 memes for each of the 8 Beatitudes You will create this in Google Presentations Your presentation will consist of 8 slides You will find 8 pictures that are from either a movie or T.V. show to represent each beatitude & then write the beatitude on the slide
