11 "Aaron shall bring the bull for his own sin offering to make atonement for himself and his household, and he is to slaughter the bull for his own sin offering. 12 He is to take a censer full of burning coals from the altar before the LORD and two handfuls of finely ground fragrant incense and take them behind the curtain. 13 He is to put the incense on the fire before the LORD, and the smoke of the incense will conceal the atonement cover above the Testimony, so that he will not die. (Leviticus 16)

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God

16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited. 17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19 Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord. 20 On the contrary: "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head." 21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Blessed are the Peacemakers – They will be called Children of God “Living peaceably is catching” Thank God for his written Word to us What peacemaking looks like

Blessed are those who overcome evil with good, for they will be called sons of God

18 Peter also standing by the fire, warming himself. 26 One of the servants challenged him, "Didn't I see you with [Jesus]?" 27 Peter denied it, and at that moment a cock began to crow. (John 18) 9 They saw a fire of burning coals with fish on it, and some bread. 12 Jesus said to them, "Come and have breakfast." 15 When they had finished eating, Jesus said, "Simon, do you truly love me?" "Yes, Lord," he said, "you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Feed my lambs.“ (John 21)

From Amen to Action Don’t be proud or conceited don’t repay evil for evil don’t take revenge don’t be overcome by evil Instead, as far as it depends on you live at peace with everyone.
