1 The NO’s In Heaven Introduction

2 The NO’s in Heaven are Many: There is no comparison here on earth! –We are not able to fully comprehend this truth! Many of the NO’s in heaven are all around us here and now!

3 Revelation 21: And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. 2. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

4 No Death! No death announcements! –Rev. 20:11-15 No funerals to go to! –Heb. 9:27; Eccl. 12:6-7 Jesus wept at the death of Lazarus! –Jn. 11:1-44 (vs. 35) Disciples of Jesus saddened at His death! – Mk. 16:1-11 The last enemy (death) will be destroyed! –1 Cor. 15:22-28; In heaven death will be NO more!

5 No Sickness! “…neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” –Rev. 21:4 All have suffered pain in the physical body! 2 Cor. 5:1-4 –Unimaginable – a place of NO Pain? –Many pains in life! Pain of child birth! Pain from injuries! Pain from old age! No pain medication will be needed No suffering from pain! No disease (cancer, heart failure, infections) No need for health care such as: –“Obamacare” or the like! No sickness or pain in Heaven!

6 No Sorrow or Sadness! “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying” –Rev. 21:4 We live in a world of sadness and sorrow! –Caused by sin: Alcoholism, Loss, Death, Disease, Health problem, Family problems, Adultery, etc. From the beginning – Gen. 3:2-19 The only good sorrow is “Godly Sorrow”! –2 Cor. 7:8-11 No sorrow or sadness in Heaven!

7 No Grumblers & Complainers! Israelites complained and chided Moses! –Ex. 15:24; 16:2; 17:1-4; Num. 14:1-2, 29 Not to murmur! –1 Cor. 10:10; Jude 16; Phil. 2:14; 2 Cor. 9:7 Must be “content”! –Phil. 4:11; 1 Tim. 6:6-8; Heb. 13:5 –Seek first the Kingdom – Matt. 6:19-34 No “Complaint Dept.” needed! –There will be NO complaints in Heaven!

8 No Fools in Heaven! Many foolish people on earth! –Prov. 14:12; Gal. 3:1-3 We have all done foolish things! –Some stumble through life in darkness! No fool will stumble into heaven! –Ps. 14:1; Prov. 12:15; 14:16; 15:5 Those who hear and obey are wise! –Matt. 7:21-28 Don’t be a fooled or deceived! –1 Cor. 6:9-10; 15:33; Gal. 6:7 No fools permitted in heaven!

9 No Sinners or Evil People! “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” – Rev 21:8 Only the faithful will be there! –Rev. 21:27 Can you imagine a such a place! –We see impure, evil and abominable things around us! Psa. 51:5: 58:3; Rom. 3:23, 5:12; 6:1-2 Only the pure will be there! –Rev. 21:18, 21, 27; 22:1; 1 Jn. 3:3 We must be purified by obedience to the Gospel! –1 Pet. 1:22; 2 Thess. 1:7-9 No Sinners will be there!

10 No Temptations! Temptations abound on earth! –Jas. 1:12-15 Jesus is our example in temptation! –1 Pet. 2:21-25 –Quoted Scripture - Matt. 4:1-11 Must use the “way of escape”! –1 Cor. 10:12-13 No temptations there!

11 No Devil or His Angels! Influence of the Devil is all around us! Devil is the “prince of this world”! –Jn. 12:31; 14:30; 16:11 “A liar from the beginning” –Jn. 8:44; Gen. 3:1-6 (Gen. 2:16-17) Manifested in many & varied ways! –False teachers & their doctrine – 1 Tim. 4:1 –Unrighteousness – 1 Jn. 3:10 –The impure and defiled – 1 Jn. 3:8 Was defeated by Christ & the Cross! –Gen. 3:15; Jn. 3:14 (Num. 21:9); Jn. 12:32-34 –Rev 12:9; 20:10 The Devil nor any member of his company there!

12 No Night There! We sing the song- “No Night There” –# 220 Only Light! –Rev. 22:1-5 No light needed from the sun, moon or stars! –Rev. 21:23-26 Illuminated by the Glory of God! –2 Cor. 4:6; Rev. 21:11, 23 No darkness there!

13 No Desire to Leave! A place of ultimate Joy! –NO shortage of Joy there! Who would want to leave a place where there are - no tears, no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, or pain??? No measuring the Joy of Heaven! –1 Pet. 1:6-9; Jude 24; 1 Thess. 2:19 No reason to want to leave!

14 No End To Our Stay! It is eternal! –2 Cor. 5:1; 1 Tim. 6:12; Tit. 3:7 –Heb. 5:9 Eternity is unimaginable for fleshly man! –We see an end to everything! 2 Cor. 4:18 No end to Heaven! Everlasting!

15 Conclusion ! Death! Sickness! Sorrow or Sadness! Grumblers or Complainers! Fools! Sinners or Evil People! Temptations! Devil or His Angels! Night There! Desire to Leave! End to Our Stay!
