Martha’s Foothold of Faith  Martha did not reply directly to the question  Martha gives the basis of her belief – Jesus and his Word  Martha gives a statement of content  Jesus is “the Christ” – Messiah  Jesus is “the Son of God” – deity  Jesus is the one “who should come into the world” – fulfillment of the promise  Martha believed, but she also knew what she believed! The God Who Weeps Application Have you become cold and indifferent to the needs of your community? Are you looking for opportunities to “be Jesus” and to share the truth of the Gospel with the lost? Discipleship is about relationship! Are you loving as Jesus loves? Are you sharing in the sorrows of others in order to bring the Gospel to light?
