Who are the real Pharisees today? Those who stress obedience, and the keeping of God’s commandments? Like Jesus? “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. Jn. 14:15, NAS He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.” Jn. 14:21, NAS Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; Jn. 14:23NAS

Who are the real Pharisees today? Those who stress obedience, and the keeping of God’s commandments? Like Paul? Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but what matters is the keeping of the commandments of God. 1 Corinthians 7:19, NAS Finally then, brethren, we request and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us instruction as to how you ought to walk and please God (just as you actually do walk), that you excel still more. 2 For you know what commandments we gave you by the authority of the Lord Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 4:1-2, NAS

Who are the real Pharisees today? Those who stress obedience, and the keeping of God’s commandments? Like John? 3 By this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments. 4 The one who says, “I have come to know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him; 5 but whoever keeps His word, in him the love of God has truly been perfected. By this we know that we are in Him: 1 John 2:3-5

Who are the real Pharisees today? Those who stress obedience, and the keeping of God’s commandments? Like John? The one who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. 1 John 3:24, NAS For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome. 1 John 5:3, NAS

Who are the real Pharisees today? Those who stress obedience, and the keeping of God’s commandments? OR those who… 1.Teach/practice the traditions of men 2.Teach one thing and practice another 3.Do things to be seen of men, get attention 4.Do not show people the true way 5.Build fortunes on the backs of the poor 6.Stress some laws and ignore others

Are WE willing… To trust God rather than men’s traditions? To practice the things of God? To please God rather than men? To do all that God requires?
