BRAC Subcabinet Maryland Installation Movements  To date, 3385 federal civilian/military jobs have moved to Maryland.  To date, 5,300 indirect jobs have been created in Maryland and growing. Anne Arundel County example:  2009 – 11 New Companies located with 242 total New Employees/ 49 Expanding Companies with 1631 total New Employees  2010 – 9 New Companies with 433 total New Employees/ 21 Expanding Companies with 1658 New Employees. Successful in working with JBA to raise small business contracting goal to 50%!  GOMA/ TargetGov following contracting trends: in 2009, Maryland small, minority and women-owned firms were awarded $2.1 BILLION in prime contracts from the Department of Defense
