IT Hardware Desktop Computing - HP Direct HP DC8000 is the new desktop offering Improvements from last year include a larger 250GB hard drive, faster DDR3 memory and a more efficient Energy Star 5.0 power supply HP LA1905wg monitor is the standard 19” monitor HP’s premium Global Support One support service is offered FOC to Procurement Scotland Stakeholders. This offers online call logging and monitoring and allows a higher entry level for technical support This agreement will be available until June 2011 Mobile Computing – Toshiba in partnership with Insight The Toshiba Tecra A11 is the new standard laptop offering Main differences are 15.6” screen, Core i5 520 Processor, Webcam as standard, fingerprint reader as standard, larger capacity hard drive, faster DDR3 memory and more efficient Energy Star 5.0 power supply The Toshiba Portégé R600 – 140 is the new ultra portable offering Main differences are increased RAM, increased hard drive capacity, webcam as standard, fingerprint reader as standard and more efficient Energy Star 5.0 power supply Extended Desktop and Mobile Computing range The desktop range has been extended with the inclusion of a server offering; the HP Proliant DL 180 G6. A workstation has also been included with the addition of the HP Z200. The mobile computing range has seen the addition of the Toshiba NB300 Netbook. IT Peripherals We have undertaken an opportunity assessment of IT Peripheral spend in the Scottish Public Sector and are currently producing the Sourcing Strategy for a National IT Peripheral Agreement. There is no dedicated IT Peripheral lot within the new OGC BS CITHS framework. However individual items and larger volumes can be subject to further competition. Typically IT peripherals include, for example, Cables (CAT6 etc), External Drives, Cards (graphics, fire wire etc), Storage (SD cards etc) and desktop accessories such as Webcams, speakers, digital cameras etc Both the Desktop & Mobile Agreements are supplemented by a wide range of upgrades and accessories.
