Summit Overview Twelfth Annual Summit and hosted by St. Martin’s University Registered 172 students, 25 parents, 14 educators from 18 schools across six counties – Reduced student registrations due to first-time ever Saturday program – Parent registrations due to first-time ever Parent workshops Three main parts to the day – Keynote speech, “Imagine Your Future” by Sandra Madrid, Special Assistant to the Vice President for Minority Affairs/Vice Provost for Diversity, University of Washington (with two guest co-speakers) – Students met with local employers and colleges during lunch – More than 12 student/parent workshops; CE credit workshops for educators A pre-survey was administered at registration to collect demographic data A post-survey was administered after the Summit to determine impact (results forthcoming) Summary of Latino Youth Summit Report: 2012 and a Ten-Year Look Back 3
