Be Careful. … The Black Widow Spider is deadly! A black widow’s bite could make a human stop breathing! Black widows are arachnids. The females are bigger than the males.

What Do They Eat? Black widows eat insects. They wait for the insects to fly or crawl into their sticky web. They bite it with venom and suck the insect dry.

Babies The black widow lays its eggs in a white or other colored egg case that she has made. The mother guards the egg case until they hatch. Once they hatch, they are on their own.

Body Parts of A Black Widow I am a black widow. I have 2 body parts. My whole body is toxic. You had better watch out. I am one half inch long.

A Female Black Widow We went to Florida. It was hot! We went to the hotel. I went out to the porch and I saw a female black widow! It was so scary! So we just left it alone.
