WOMEN IN THE LIFE AND TEACHING OF JESUS JOH 4

DEFINITIONS MALE HEADSHIP – In the partnership of two spiritually equal human beings, man and woman, the man bears the primary responsibility to lead the partnership in a God-glorifying direction.

DEFINITIONS MALE DOMINATION - The antithesis to male headship is male domination which is the assertion of man’s will over the woman’s will heedless of her spiritual equality, her rights, and her value.

MAT 19:4 "Haven't you read," he replied, "that at the beginning the Creator 'made them male and female,'

MAT 5:28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

COMMUNICATED WITH WOMEN JOH 4:25-27

JOH 4:27 Just then his disciples returned and were surprised to find him talking with a woman. But no one asked, "What do you want?" or "Why are you talking with her?"

JOH 4:25 The woman said, "I know that Messiah" (called Christ) "is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us."

JOH 4:26 Then Jesus declared, "I who speak to you am he."

CARED FOR WOMEN JOH 4:13-18

LUK 13:11 and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all.

LUK 13:12 When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, "Woman, you are set free from your infirmity."

LUK 13:13 Then he put his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God.

LUK 13:16 Then should not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen long years, be set free on the Sabbath day from what bound her?"

JOH 4:13 Jesus answered, "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again,

Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman's testimony, "He told me everything I ever did."

LUK 8:1 But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.

LUK 6:13 When morning came, he called his disciples to him and chose twelve of them, whom he also designated apostles:
