3 Code 150 Diversity Activities Past Activities Creation of the RFO Consolidated 2 stovepipe organizations into one on 8/14/2001 –Dealt with a huge issue of respect Results –Barriers have been broken down –Our employees no longer see HQ or GSFC, they see one organization planning for the future

10 Code 150 Diversity Activities Future Activities Pilot Leadership Development Program CFO sponsored Pilot Leadership Development Program for the Financial and Resource Community Duration: 9 months (starts in 11/01) Class Size: 18 journey- or senior-level personnel (GS11-14) Goal: Participants to develop competencies to become forward-looking leaders, capable of successfully helping our community define and create its future

11 Code 150 Diversity Activities Future Activities Pilot Leadership Development Program Program utilizes the following: –Leadership workshops –Center Director’s Colloquia –Formal mentor-protégé relationship –Individual and group coaching –Individual Development Plan –Shadowing a mid- to senior-level manager for 1 week –Monthly meeting –Interviews with managers, special readings of articles/books –Prepare periodic self-assessment reports
