High Level Policy Drivers in Wales One Wales One Planet “Sustainable development will be the central organising principle of the Welsh Assembly Government”” “Developing a comprehensive approach to behaviour change!” “ We expect the public sector to lead by example”

High Level Policy Drivers in Wales The Climate Change Strategy “ A 3% per annum carbon reduction target in devolved areas of responsibility”” “ An expectation that the public sector will Exemplify, Enable, Engage and Encourage”

Education Policy Drivers in Wales For our Future A vision of three regions in Wales with two Universities in each working effectively with FE providers to offer students a coherent and progressive education system appropriate to need. Delivering this agenda in a manner that is consistent with social justice and with reduced resources.

Video Conferencing in HEFCW VC is an integral tool in managing and reducing carbon emissions and it forms an essential element of our approach to carbon management reducing our business travel by nearly 25% saving an average of 143 miles and two and a half hours travel time. Staff training including staff realising how it can make their life easier is essential to success.
