CCCE presentation at Gosford City Council by Dennis Silvers

Recently formed incorporated association with the goal to form a co-operative as an investment vehicle. Vision to engage with the community to invest in medium to large scale renewable energy projects Objectives: Foster community engagement Reduce carbon footprint Reduce energy cost Gain return of investment for members Engage with stakeholders Who we are CCCE presentation at Gosford City Council by Dennis Silvers

To support Gosford City Council’s Climate Change Mitigation Strategy To work with Council on joint renewable energy projects Such projects will offer the following mutual benefits to Council and community: Substantial electricity bill savings for the Council Exemplify Council’s engagement with community Advance renewable energy projects Why are we here today CCCE presentation at Gosford City Council by Dennis Silvers

We have had talks with Council staff in general terms and identified the Peninsula Leisure Centre (PLC). Installing a large PV system on the roof of the PLC is an ideal project for the following reasons: This would be a high visibility project Excellent potential to demonstrate Council’s engagement with the community Represents high energy usage, with maximum demand during the day The building was purpose built for PV, but it was not installed due to budget constraints Other options for consideration: Incorporate a solar roof into the specifications of the new Woy Woy Grandstand Solar installations on waste treatment facilities Identified project CCCE presentation at Gosford City Council by Dennis Silvers

Install a 100kW system on the roof of the PLC, which would feed in behind the meter Seek the Councillors’ support to continue discussions with relevant Council staff Further detailed discussions and exchange of information required to determine the feasibility and cost benefits Develop triple bottom line assessment With information of the building’s energy usage the financial benefits to Council can be modelled Proposal for Collaboration CCCE presentation at Gosford City Council by Dennis Silvers
