GRAND CENTRAL TERMINAL MAIN CONCOURSE MICHAEL GONZALEZ

INITIAL OBSERVATIONS

INITIAL IDEA Noticed a big bulk of commuters on their phone, conversing or listening to music. Utilize this device and the GPS to allow for automated notifications of what track to get on for their destination Taking away the chance of missing their train by checking the time boards

RIGHT TRACK

SECOND OBSERVATION Spanish: 24 Italian: 10 Mandarin: 3 Unknown: 15

CONCEPT Creating a website where users can share their personal experiences of coming to Grand Central Trying to exemplify the diversity of people who travel through the space daily Also bring about other ways to view an interesting space

FEEDBACK Elly – “I like the idea, I think it would be awesome if people could post photos, or even videos. Allowing for a more unique database of interpretations of the space. I mean someone may understand what a person is trying to convey message wise by just seeing a picture and a photo can also show different views of what people may think is just a regular place” Monique – “It's almost like reliving your Grand Central experience while you read about others‘”

NEXT STEPS Bringing the stories to the space, making the accessibility of sharing stories easier.
